Yoga in the Park 


Free Community Yoga | July 14, 2018 || 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.

The Avon Recreation Center offers free yoga on Saturdays throughout the summer with certified yoga instructors from around the Vail Valley. Start your weekend on the right foot…then the left…by stretching and energizing your whole body on the picturesque Performance Pavilion Terrace overlooking Nottingham Lake.

Colorado Disc Dogs | July 14, 2018 || 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The Colorado Disc Dogs club started in 1994 and gives Frisbee dog enthusiasts a chance to gather as a group and ply our hobby. We get together at least once a month during the season, exchanging ideas, tips, stories, and information about the sport, as well as practicing with our dogs in a fun, comfortable atmosphere.

Triple Bypass Finish Celebration | July 14, 2018

The Triple Bypass Bicycle Tour is a phenomenal 120-mile bicycle ride with over 10,000 feet of elevation gain. And yet, 3,500 riders dare it every year. It starts in Evergreen and climbs over Squaw Pass to Idaho Springs and on into Georgetown. From there, it climbs over Loveland Pass to Frisco and over Vail Pass to the finish line in Avon at Harry A. Nottingham Park.

Summer Scurry Junior Duathlon | July 16, 2018 || 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

This is new event promises to be super fun and super free. Bring your little (ages 5-8) on over the historic Nottingham Cabin and enter them into the Summer Scurry while you prep yourself for the 14th annual Dunk-N-Dash Race Series. Participants will navigate their way around the new Nottingham Park playground and field first on foot and then by bike as there compete for a personal best time of the summer. All participants will be entered to win some great raffle prizes. No Striders please as the course will not be marshaled. Registration opens at 5:00 p.m. ahead of a 6:00 start.

Dunk N' Dash | July 16, 2018 || 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Nottingham Lake is back and better than ever this summer! The Avon Recreation Department provides the only open water swim in the valley. It's a perfect way to train for your first (or third) outdoor triathlon. Just be sure to bring a wetsuit - the water can be chilly! 
  • Fee:$5 per person
  • Check-in at the Avon Performance Pavilion
  • Average water temp. is between 60 - 68 degrees, wet suits recommended
  • Must be 15 years of age with parental release
  • For your safety - lifeguard staff and distance buoys will be provided

Lake Street Market | July 18 || 4:00 p.m. to Dusk


Community Yoga | 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.

The Lake Street Market takes place on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer (with no market on July 4). Local vendors will sell fresh produce, local meat and eggs, artisan goods and street food. The event will include a beer garden, with happy hour pricing on beer and wine from 4 - 6 p.m., and community yoga from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. The lettuce patch (kids zone) will entertain the littles, and weekly live music will entertain everyone!

XTERRA Beaver Creek Triathlon | July 21, 2018 || 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.

The Beaver Creek XTERRA is part of XTERRA's Regional Point Series Schedule. The race will consist of a 1 km swim in Nottingham Lake, a 25 km mountain bike ride up and around Beaver Creek and an 8 km trail run on Beaver Creek Mountain.
