Releases of Tax Lien

  • The Town of Avon will release the lien put on a property due to a transfer tax exemption approval no sooner than one year after the acquisition date if the borrower provides evidence that the property was used as a primary residence.
  • Evidence includes a Colorado driver’s license or ID, an Avon voter registration or vehicle registration that lists the exempted property as the applicant’s current address.
  • Evidence is accepted by email or by mail at PO Box 975, Avon, CO 81620 or in person at 1 Lake St. Avon, CO 81620.
