    Make Father’s Day special by enjoying some exercise in Nottingham Park and bring the whole family for this 2k race. Moms are welcome too, as are boys and girls. This mission of the race is Family, Fun & Fitness. TuTu’s aren’t mandatory, but they’re strongly encouraged. With a 10:00 am start, you’ll have the whole day left to spend enjoying the features and amenities of beautiful Nottingham Park.

    This new event promises to be super fun and super free. Bring your little (ages 5-8) on over to the historic Nottingham Cabin and enter them into the Summer Scurry while you prep yourself for the 14th annual Dunk-N-Dash Race Series. Participants will navigate their way around the NEW Nottingham Park playground and field first on foot and then by bike as there compete for a personal best time of the summer on our 1.5K course. All participants will be entered to win some great raffle prizes. No Striders please, as the course will not be marshalled.

  5. 2018 Dunk-N-Dash

    June 18, 2018, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Log Cabin

    The Town of Avon is proud to present our 14th Annual Dunk-N-Dash Aquathlon Series. Athletes can register for one event or for the entire series. Swimmers in the Dunk-N-Dash can opt to make one or two 800-yard loops around the Nottingham Lake. The 5K run starts and finishes at the Lake’s Avon Performance Pavilion. The route runs north around Nottingham Lake, follows the path to Avon Elementary and turns onto the scenic river recreation path. At “Bob the Bridge,” runners turn around and return on the same path detouring to the south side of the lake for the finish line. Participants can also opt to swim our 2.4 mile swim course in the lake by swimming 5 laps around the lake and forgoing the running portion of the race. Stick around following the race to participate in our FREE raffle with over $100 in prizes every week.
