COLOTRUST Board of Trustees Appoints New Chairman, Mr. Scott Wright
Denver, CO: The Colorado Local Government Liquid Asset Trust (COLOTRUST) is pleased to announce that Mr. Scott Wright, Assistant Town Manager and Finance Director for the Town of Avon, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the COLOTRUST Board of Trustees. The Board unanimously confirmed Mr. Wright?s appointment during its regularly scheduled meeting held on Friday, February 1, 2019. Prior to this appointment, Scott has volunteered his time as a COLOTRUST Board Member for more than 20 years, serving as a long-time member of the COLOTRUST Executive Committee, as Treasurer for the COLOTRUST Board, and as the Chairman of the John Amato Audit Committee.
"Having worked alongside of Scott for many years and having seen his dedication, his competence, and his tremendous care for the organization, I know that he has the best interest of all Participants at heart and will be a great leader as COLOTRUST goes into the future," said Al Dominguez, the preceding COLOTRUST Chairman.
Scott has been employed with the Town of Avon since 1996 where he is responsible for all financial support services and information technology functions for the Town. Prior, Scott served as the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Northglenn, as the Chief Accountant for the Irving Independent School District in Texas, and spent several years in public accounting. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Public Finance Officer, and a Certified Public Funds Investment Manager. Scott has served on a number of boards including the Colorado Government Finance Officers Association and the National Government Finance Officers Association Committee on Treasury Management and Investments.
