Avon Police Department is participating in the 36th annual National Night Out on August 6th

Avon, CO – The Avon Police Department is excited to announce their participation in the 36th annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6, 2019. It will be the 13th year that Avon has been involved in the event, which strengthens police and community relationships and encourages neighborhoods to form a partnership to fight crime. National Night Out encourages residents to turn on their outside lights, lock their doors, and come outside to spend the evening with their neighbors and public safety personnel.

Join your Eagle County Law Enforcement agencies to celebrate police-community partnerships in crime prevention efforts on August 6th. This is a great opportunity to bring neighborhoods together with law enforcement under positive circumstances while building camaraderie and to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live. Residents in neighborhoods throughout Eagle County and across the nation are urged to participate and spend the evening outside with friends, neighbors and local law enforcement personnel.

Agencies throughout Eagle County will be hosting a variety of neighborhood events. The events being hosted by the Avon Police Department and the Eagle County Sheriff's Office are listed below.
