Perform a variety of fieldwork in support of the Avon Police Department including but not limited to: responding to and investigating traffic collisions with and without injuries; enforcing parking violations and issuing parking citations; and animal control and compliance calls.
Matt is originally from Michigan and came to Colorado for an internship to finish his Bachelor of Science, Criminal Justice degree from Ferris State University in 2008.
Matt’s family lives in Michigan. Their support helped him become the person he is today. Matt’s brother is located in Whidbey Island, Washington where he works for the United States Navy.
Matt hopes to use his knowledge gained through college and to be challenged in the many aspects of the law enforcement world. Matt hopes to someday work as a Police Officer with the Avon Police Department.

Being a single man in Avon, Matt likes to stay very active. Whether in the gym or outdoors he enjoys keeping himself in shape. Someday he hopes to get into snowboarding and snowshoeing. In the summer Matt likes to hike, fish, raft, golf and camp. Matt believes staying active is a high priority in this field of work not only for the physical challenge of law enforcement but also for the mentally challenging aspects as well.
