Energy Rebates
The Town of Avon partners with Walking Mountains to run the Town’s community energy efficiency program. Several rebates are available for Residents & Businesses in Town.
Home Energy Assessments
- $50 up front cost; any sized home
- $50 given back in a rebate when homeowner completes a weatherization, energy efficiency, renewable energy, or building electrification project recommended on the assessment report, within 6 months
- $100 value in Quick Fixes for FREE at the time of assessment
Weatherization, Energy Efficiency, and Safety Rebates
- Max $1,000/year for homes (not to exceed 60% of any project cost with all rebates, including utility)
- Max $2,000/year for businesses & multifamily buildings (not to exceed 60% of any project cost with all rebates, including utility)
- Projects may include: Ventilation, Heat Pump, Duct Sealing, Heat Pump Water Heater, Heat Tape Timers, Air Sealing, Insulation, Home Radon Mitigation, HVAC Tune-Up, Induction Cooking, LEDs, Lighting Controls, Chillers, EC Motors, Smart Controls, Pool Pumps, Programmable Thermostats, Cellular Shades, Storm Windows, and more
Solar PV Rebates
- Max $1,000/year for homes
- Max $2,000/year for businesses & multifamily buildings
Building Electrification Rebates
- Max $3,500/year for homes (not to exceed 60% of any project cost with all rebates, including utility)
- Max $6,500/year for businesses & multifamily (not to exceed 60% of any project cost with all rebates, including utility)
- Projects (must) switch from natural gas or propane to electric, and may include: Cold Climate Heat Pump, Heat Pump Water Heater, Induction Cooking, Heat Pump Clothes Dryer, Electric Fireplace, Energy Storage (Batteries), EV Charging in Multifamily Building lots
