New Clean Diesel Buses Rolling in Avon

The Town of Avon is excited to announce the acquisition of two new 35-foot Gillig buses. These ultra-low-emission, clean diesel buses will join our 13-bus fleet and replace two of our oldest buses that were built in 2005 and 2006.

The $1.1M purchase was made possible with an $840K Federal Transit Authority Capital Grant. Aligning with Avon's Climate Action Goals, Avon operates a mix of clean diesel and electric buses to ensure reliable transit service.

The Winter Transit Schedule is available at avon.org/bus. For more information, please contact Mobility Manager Jim Shoun at mobility@avon.org or call 970-748-4120.
