Egg Hunt Returns to Avon on Saturday, April 8
Avon, CO – A local favorite, the Avon Egg Hunt presented by FirstBank, returns to Harry A. Nottingham Park in Avon, promising a hopping good time on Saturday, April 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Bring the entire family and don’t forget your egg baskets for a fun-filled morning in Avon. Families are invited to join in this free community event, which includes a coloring contest, jellybean guessing game, exhilarating inflatable features, balloon artists, face painters, craft station, and a visit from the Avon Bunny!
But that’s not all…ten thousand eggs will be filled with toys and candy. The Egg Hunt will be organized by age and is open to children nine and under. There will be three separate Egg Hunts in the Egg Hunt Arena; two for each age group for which participants can only join in their age category. There will be a special area for children three years of age and under with their very own bouncy house and Egg Hunt. The Egg Hunt is a bully-free zone, and we ask all parents and children to be respectful to one another and be a buddy not a bully! New this year, we will have a plastic egg recycle station for guests to recycle their plastic eggs to help with our plastic free initiative.
To enter in the coloring contest, download the form or cut out the advertisement in the Vail Daily on Friday, April 7 and bring it with you to the Town of Avon tent at the Egg Hunt. Children can use their imagination, color the ad, and don’t forget to complete the information section at the bottom. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative coloring by age group and the winner’s colorings will be displayed at the Avon Recreation Center.
“We are excited to once again host the Egg Hunt as it is a signature event in our community,” said Danita Dempsey, CASE Manager at the Town of Avon. “We hope the community and their families come out and join us on April 8 for this “egg”cellent event,” she continued.
